Not Being Allowed Into A Bush Event
Aug 27
It seems strange the rational that Republican campaign managers give for not allowing non-Bush supporters into the campaign events. They said that it was because everyone is there to hear Bush speak and so only allowing supporters makes sense.
It doesn’t make sense. What makes sense is that you want people who see the events on television to perceive that people support Bush. In actuality the whole thing becomes more of a way for the candidates to get free advertising as all the media organizations replay the events over and over.
It does seem that Bush should let anyone in, but I guess with all of the people who really dislike Bush that could get ugly.
Tough call!
